Does anybody make a die cast valve cover for the 460?

I am sick and tired of the stamped steel valve covers. I have done everything I can think of to stop the darn things from leaking oil all over my engine and would sure like to have some thick Die cast ones to get a good solid gasket surface area.

No I have tried everything. I have even hammered them back out to make sure they are flat. Overtightening is not my problem. I am very careful about torquing down bolts. The only thing I haven't down to stop the leaks is using Ultra Black Gasket Maker on them because I don't what to have to chisel them off the next time they have to come off. I hate to use sealant because its such a bitch to clean the mess off when you have to take them off. I have built smaller engines and used the die cast covers and they never leak without sealant but I can't find them for the big block engines. Surly somebody must make them. I have made several searches for the big block Ford to no avail.

Honestly, what i did was get a set of welded aluminum valve covers off of ebay. Fitment was good, they have a very thick gasket flange, and were reasonably priced, around $90 shipped to my door. I actually got three sets, two for 460s, and a set of my 390 as well.

Good luck!
