Ok...my 04 F250 does not have any functioning brake lights. All three are out..I replaced the brake light switch under the pedal and still I have no lights. I checked the fuses under the dash, not sure if there any hiding elsewhere. The fuses were all okay. I have turn signals, four ways, and cargo light working properly...Now I'm lost..any advice I'll gladly accept
Lol..ill have to look..i don't know if I have a tow button, I just picked this thing up a few days ago..ill check it when I get home from work... thank you
I had this happen on another model vehicle. I did some troubleshooting and suspected a faulty relay. I still had the problem after replacing the relay... What!
After going through a lot of additional troubleshooting, I came back to the replay again. This just didn't make sense.
Okay... Here goes.. I replaced the relay a second time... Whallah... That did it.. The first replacement replay was also bad (Maybe infant mortality).. Gee Wiz...
Well, it never failed again after the third... Original -> First Replacement -> Second replacement (Qty 3)
I have this really expensive multimeter...but of course, I dont know how to use it properly..I tried to test the wire harness but I got no readings...my battery though is at 12.367v
Where is the relay located that controls the light?
The switch replacement is not OEM...Its from OReilys, mdc brand or something.

thanks again for the help
I’m not sure if the 6.0 is like the 7.3L but the 7.3L does NOT like aftermarket sensors etc.
There isn't one so it's going to be a lot harder to find than was suggested.
Do you have an aftermarket brake system controller installed?
Did you verify with your meter that fuse F18 under the dash was passing power? If the hazards work, then F18 should be good.
Did you verify that the stop lamp switch was making and breaking as the pedal was pushed and released?
Did you check to see if you have power on the LG/RD wire at the switch (supplied via fuse F18)
Other than the brake light switch from Oreliys, I can't say if the truck has an other aftermarket components. It a new truck to me.
I did not verify F18 with the meter. My hazards do work.
Im not sure what 'stop lamp switch' refers to...is that the switch on the pedal. If so then yes, auditory reference. I could hear it click.
I did not verify power at the harness point. I can't tell if the wire entering the harness are properly secured...i would like to remove the harness and look at on the bench...but the only way would be to cut the harness out.

thank you all again
Ok, you’re question was regarding your brake lights NOT working …the aftermarket switch could be the problem, because the brake light switch can cause no brake lights. The rest of the sensors are irrelevant at this point.
