I have a 2018 F250 CCSB, with the BW Patriot ( non slider ) my 5ver has a recessed cap. With hitch in most rear position, plenty of turning room.
The BW hitches have several inch's of forward/aft adjustment, as well as height.

Some have to turn it the other way around to have enough clearance for the pin box sticking down to clear the bed rails when turning. The factory GN ball is over the rear axle. The AUH ball is 9" back and the coupler can be turned either way to give you extra clearance for the cab or turned around to give you extra clearance for the bed rails...depends on the truck bed length and the height of the bed rails relative to the pin box sticking down when running the trailer level. Need 6-8" of bed rail clearance but with the truck beds being so deep now days that is hard to do and still keep the trailer from running nose high.

Don't overlook the ball mounted on TOP of the AUH, it is adjustable up/down, as seen in the above picture.

And while I may be wrong I don't believe the connecting point is 9" behind the goose ball; regardless of where it physically is the weight is distributed to the bed hitch.

From what I see below... If you have a the Ford SRW CCSB 6.7 you don't need to worry about which hitch to use as you'll be overweight as soon as you pull the legs out from under that 5ver! What a MONSTER rig, love Jayco. I think there's only one SRW that can legally tow that beast and that's the Ram 3500, It's got the *up to 12,300 GVWR (cheaters) means you could have up to 4300 lbs of payload with the diesel engine along with a 25,300 GCWR.

Either way Happy Hunting! .... yes I always wanted to play internet weight policeman!

I believe the Pinnacle will have a short pin box, so you should put the adapter socket in front of the pin.

Mr. Grey sir you are a gentleman and a scholar and there are damn few of us left! I use the spreadsheet (that I stole off an rv forum) to play with the numbers. If you get some numbers off of the truck and the rv you can really see what you're working with as far as payload and carry weight. For me my problem isn't payload OR tow weight. I have 4000lbs payload and 15,000lbs of 5th wheel carry, BUT since I've got a gasser, my max GCWR is 22,000lbs. So if my truck weights 8500lbs loaded up (I'll have 2500lbs left for my pin), But then my 5th wheel can't weight over 13,500lbs. for every pound over 7000lbs (my GVRW is 11,000lbs), I loose that pound off the my towing capability. That won't be your issue with the calculation. Your issue will be payload, and the beauty of the spreadsheet is that it uses the carry/cargo/pin weight together. I think you can use it along with the hitch weights your considering to figure out if you can hand the weight of a roller... or if you'll need an extended pin box and the Andersen. I left my current numbers in the sheet, enjoy!

Last thought Reese gooseBox Pin? Zero hitch weight! But not sure on a short bed?

Well, these specs are real close to what my Raptor’s are. I started pulling it with a CCSB SRW equipped with B&W turnover ball and companion hitch. I had the hitch set up so the trailer was as far back as possible, and YES, the 102” wide body would definitely hit when turning too tight.......ask me how I know.I was lucky and only marred the paint a bit. And no, mine truck was not a ‘17+; it was an ‘11.
And before you go any further with this, I would advise to, if there is ANY way possibe, to get the rig weighed to get the ACTUAL weights before buying!!
Ask me how I know this, also. The “dry” weight listed likely does not include batteries, generator, propane bottles, etc. Then when you add your gear, the pin weight could very easily be close to 1000 lb more than this listed weight. My first long trip with the SRW, I smoked a set of rear tires in 3000 miles. All this weight stuff is just FYI. I see people pulling big 5ers with SRW’s all the time.

I can turn about 80* give or take, which is plenty. Those super sharp turns are very hard on the trailer suspension components. My coupler is reversed since I have a short bed. That gives the most bed rail clearance. Reversed is recommended for short beds by Andersen.

2017+ srw short bed trucks have an extra 3/4 foot in the bed between the back of the cab and the rear axle for what it’s worth I’ve never needed to engage my slider .. in two years many trips .. wish I’d spent the extra money on a lighter hitch instead I have a 26k husky with manual slide
