Looks like they're now going by 'dimensional weight' which applies a 40 lb per wheel weight to the shipping for Fedex based on box size. Really strange...

2 in a heavy duty home depot box with packaging was 70 per box. the 32 per wheel is really close.
Well, guess what showed up today...I was off to town returning my company laptop when I found these strange boxes on my porch.
A sad day and at the same time a little ray of hope. Complete as described with proper centers. Guy was a good guy and got them out to me UPS and they seem to all have arrived in beautiful condition.
Now that I just went yesterday and had my 16's rebalanced, restemmed, and cleaned up, they'll be posted to pay for the rubber for these soon.
Looking at some 295/70R18 E load rated. Anyone got a brand they prefer for longevity and ride?
Very glad to see that you have them in hand!
What type of tire do you need/want? Mud, snow, AT, highway..........
My EX is a highway star that never sees off road and tries very hard to avoid snow and ice, so it's Nitto Dura Grappler highway tread tires are a perfect match for it. They are the quietest truck tire I've ever used, handle the high weight seen while towing, provide a good feel and ride and are wearing very slowly, I will buy them again when needed.
Since I do off road gently from time to time, but mostly will be towing and cross country, I might be best served by an all season/all terrain tire.
I'm not a mudder and the snow it will see will likely only be on trips back to Algonquin Park and possibly west coast Rockies (not likely in Winter for the Rockies!). I see Nitto's out there in many 'grappler' configs but not the Dura?
Of course now I'll have to go in search of an 18" 8 lug spare tire rim...
I have a couple of guys on my list that are looking for single '04 18" wheels for spares, enough now to look for a less than perfect set to break up and makes semi matching spares from. Keep your eye out and share any good finds!
Here are the Dura Grapplers, great tire for how I use them, mine are the 305/70R18s. https://www.nittotire.com/light-truc...ht-truck-tire/
Nitto lists my tires at 35.28" X 12.8", so I go by that, and I do have some spring rub at full lock, so I try to limit full lock until I swap my front axles and do the steering stop bolts. There was a little bit of rub on the inner plastic fender liner but that is now pulled back with cable ties.
Well now. ... I went to my local tire guy 5 minutes up the street (who just got done rebalancing and replacing the stems only yesterday). He mentioned to let me know what profile I was thinking of so I dropped back in today for a minute, and he had a set of Nitto Durra Grapplers with 70% tread. Said he was looking for 200 installed. Went back today and had them mounted and balanced and new stems. These will get me by until my next gig rolls in and while money is a bit tight putting this recovery home together with my wife and crew. Selling the factory 16's with decent tires on them still should cover a couple of new Grapplers. These are the 295/70/R18 E load 10 ply that I was considering. Rides better than it did with the near new ones I took off. I'll have to go calculate how much my speedo is out now though and maybe I can change something using the 5 star to help with the change in tire size...not sure yet. Bonus is they really look good and there's no rub whatsoever...got lucky and had a minor blessing that I really appreciate.
I have to say, I'm not sure I like the SVT caps though as much as the factory ones. Also with manual lockers the depth on the front SVT caps is deeper so a bit harder to get at the lockers. Will let my wife decide what she likes better
Pics to come when I get some dry weather and I'm not driving through the mud at the home reconstruction site!

Well that worked out pretty well! Looking forward to the pictures.
Interesting that the Nitto Dura page I linked to above doesn't show them in that size.
