I I live in one of the top 10 snowiest cities in the US, here in Arizona, and am bummed cuz they salt here also, more frequently than when I first moved here 30 years ago. However my '11 never showed any signs of rust/corrosion on the oil pan. Should not be a problem....
Aluminum also corrodes and once it starts, it goes fast. The aluminum oxide that coats aluminum does make it more resistant to corrosion, but paint or sealers do the same for steel or iron. Steel is a better material for oil and transmission pans and differential covers. The reason is if they take a rock hit, they just dent. Aluminum will crack or knock a hole in the pan.
