The other day we noticed a bit of a misfire on startup and a sulfur or coolant smell coming from the exhaust. I scanned the engine with our diagnostic software and found a code for the pre-cat o2 sensor open/lazy. While looking at the sensor I noticed coolant dripping out of the exhaust pipe.
I started pulling spark plugs and found the #5 plug to be wet with coolant. All the other plugs were dry. While I had them out I performed a compression test. Most cylinders were at 180 while one was at 110 and another at 240. #5 cylinder is at 180.
I noticed the crossover of the thermostat housing through the intake manifold. Is it a common issue for that gasket to go bad and leak into 5 cylinder.

sure that’s possible.
Suspiciously my v10 also had an issue with #5 getting coolant.
I've got a 3V, and I've found coolant in my plug hole on #5 as well. Haven't really had problems with it getting beyond that, but has caused a misfire in the past. Intermittent problem for me, headache to diagnose.
Can't see a picture but we have a Wiggin's forklift with a v10, common for marine use. We use it for loading high voltage tower assemblies on to trailers.
