Now that is a nice instrument. Adds a nice touch to your interior.

That's really cool. I hope you don't break it on deceleration.

Never seen a cabin pressure indicator that read in inches of mercury..... They usually read in psi (differential)
Manifold pressure gages do read in inches of mercury though!

And of course, it's just a barometer reading ambient pressure when the engine is not running.

I would guess the gauge doesn’t move to much in the flatlands of Kansas! Are you planning to drive thru the Rockies to test it? Looks good.

It works just like an automotive vacuum gauge. When I was a kid I watched my father use it many times when he was working on our cars.

That is an outstanding gauge! I assume it's a vintage gauge based on the design and finish? Any idea what it's from? Something about vintage aircraft/military gauges that are so aesthetically pleasing to me.

I put a vintage tach in mine and would love to add something like this as a compliment, provided I can borrow your idea

I'm not sure what it was used on but dad learned how to be an aircraft instrument tech in the military and then worked in the private sector in the late sixties and through the seventies.

I think it's that you can read them at a glance, no fancy stuff

That's probably exactly why I like them.

I have seen a few of those manifold pressure gauges like that, but it's pretty cool this one reads "Cabin Pressure". If it's WW2 era, would have probably started with either the C46 Commando or the B29, and finding a gauge from one of those that still works would be prohibitively expensive for this application.
