New here... question

Hello to all and happy holiday's....

This may sound dumb to a lot of you but here goes.
Last year I purchased a very well maintained 91 F150 long bed w/ dual tanks 5.0 302. However, since said purchase, I have noticed the little things which I was expecting due to the age of the truck. Tonight I was researching in cab exhaust smells and started " really " poking around under the hood closely and discovered #1 cylinder exhaust manifold bolt is loose. Exhaust leak #1. Poking around a bit more I checked the EGR valve and the wiring going to said valve.
My question is this... In the wiring harness that leads to the EGR on my truck, there are 2 connectors. One leading to the EGR itself and another that goes to nothing at all. It just hangs out like a double date friend that has no date. No empty plugs, nothing. What is this for?
Again, this may be a dumb question but there it is.

One other thing. Driver side door rattled. Bought new latch pins with required nylon sleeve , installed. Door closed great and solid but very hard to open again. Adjusted several times, still same result. Reverted back to old pin adjusted inwards slightly to avoid rattling but now has to be slightly slammed shut to completely close properly. Any thoughts?
