Exhaust Question
I have recently replaced the exhaust on my 97 F-150 4X4 and put on a Thrush Cherry Bomb glasspack muffler (2 1/2") and at the end of the pipe I have a 3 1/2" glasspack resonated tip. This was a great upgrade in sound and performace from what I can see. My question is this...if I was to take that 3 1/2" tip off and possibly go down in size on it, to say a 2" or 2 1/2" tip, what sound and/or performance differences, if any, would I notice? Any info is helpful here as I am kinda new to modifying street vehicles. All of my automotive knowledge and tips/tricks came from building dirt track cars, and most of that doesn't apply to daily drivers.
