Motor craft water pump is better than others in my opinion + comes with an easy install gasket that’s what I dropped in my truck 200k miles of service for the price sounds good to me.

NAPA radiator, got it.

What about a Prestone coolant system flush with distilled water?
You have to use distilled water for the final flushes. Hose water is too hard. There's something about cavitation and the front cover. RRD =Riffraff diesel.

get the filter, the filter base and the correct fittings to tap into the waterpump 3/8 plug and plumb to base, then feed line from base to coolant resivoir by way of a "T"...btw, 200k on my Airtex. They were probably dumbshiats on installing or didnt have a coolant filter

Green coolant I'd absolutely run a coolant filter, but gold or red, nope.
I agree with this.. But I tell you what happened to me. I changed over to elc years ago. But later when I replaced everything that had to do with the coolant system I did another flush using Cascade dishwashing liquid. After a while I started seeing crud and floaters in my degas tank. What happened was even after all of the flushing the residual Cascade in the system continued to clean. So I added a coolant filter from RRD. I haven't changed the first filter yet and when I do change it I may never have to change it again. Just some food for thought.
