O/D off light flashing

O/D off light flashing
I just bought a 2006 Expedition with 44k miles on it, driving yesterday I seen the O/D off light begin to flash on and off consecutively, but after I shut off the motor it didn’t happen again until about 15 mins of driving. Any idea what this could be/mean? It’s got a V8

There could be dozens of causes for the O/D light to flash. You need to pull the codes to see what the computer thinks is wrong. Invest in some tools, you will recover the cost in a VERY short amount of time.
