Hi all. Noticed today while searching for a clunking noise that my rear leaf springs are touching the bump stops, or pretty close to it.

I do have some weight in the back. I have a cap, bedslide, and maybe 200lbs of tools. Is this normal?

Normal. My 2006 F350 looked the same. Just for the record, those are not stops. The helper spring doesn't do anything until you load weight on the truck and the ends of the leaf spring contact those which in turn causes the helper spring put pressure on the axle.

 

Check near the axle for broken leafs.

 

Seems normal. When I had the lift gate on the back of my truck it sat like that. Now that I've taken it off it doesn't sit on those normally.
