Well, didnt get as much done today as i wanted... but i did paint all the bare metal parts and cleaned up some oringal stuff.

Was about to install the spindals on the newly acquired axle but after pre-lubing the bearings included in the kingpin kit, HALT. Check these horrible bearings out... even with grease, they bind and grind... cheap stuff...

very disappioned AC Delco. Now need to find good quality bearings... so the day’s project ended...

Who has part number (or size) for the thrust bearing on king pin? I only see full kits available.

After waiting over a week for amazon to send another king pin kit just so i can get the bearings out of it, finally arrived yesterday... Today....no rain... so a couple of hours and it was back on the road... so smoooooth with all the new parts...

Next, i’ll Tackle the new CPP quick steering box and new tilt steering column... ditching the B&M floor shifter PITA.. for a nice tilt column shft.. just waiting on the steering wheel to arrive

HyPoe57 I just received the speedway disc brake conversion kit for my 58. How did you install the master cylinder? I ordered a new dual master but it has a different mounting pattern(2 bolt) compared to the original master cylinder 4 bolt pattern.

Thanks

My CPP dual master cylinder power booster was a 4 bolt and it bolted right up where the stock one was. Also I used a mechanical brake light switch on the line out of the m/c. The power brake booster came with prop valve but not the brake light pressure switch. You may wish to return that booster and get one that bolts right in....

A friend of mine had the same issue on his 58 Plymouth and bought an adapter but it was a few years ago and he doesn't remember where he got it, sorry. I think Speedway has them, or something similar
