Which 1.5" Front Level Kit

I'm looking at the Motofab and Rough County 1.5" level kits. Both appear to get installed below the spring and my understanding that is preferred. Any advantage to one style of spacer over the other? Brand? Thanks

I've got no input on the style of spacer but it's the same level of effort as replacing the springs so you may want to consider the Rough County 1.5" springs... They aren't terribly expensive and they ride better than stock in my opinion...

+1 - I had the RC 1.5 springs also and they rode excellent. They are a progressive rate spring so they were very smooth. Much better option than a spacer.

Too bad your not in CO, I have mine in the garage after a few days of use.

I actually wanted a stiffer spring so that I can add a full Ranch Hand bumper / grill guard so I added some monster 7500lb coils.

That was my understanding as well. They physically fit but the lighter engine just doesn't compress the spring as much...

Thank you for the suggestion but think I might just stick with my OEM springs and spacers as I know what ride and height I will get. Can anyone answer my original questions?

How was the ride with the 6.2 V8 compared to the stock springs?

And which lb rating were you're original springs?

I have the std springs, no snow plow option. There is a obvious weight difference between the 6.2 and diesel seems like all springs are made for the Diesel which will effect the ride of a gasser. I saw one response that said they are fine but I would like a better description of the ride difference with the RC springs compared to stock.

I have 6.2's in all the trucks and have the snow plow package 5600 Springs and the ride is better than stock. I also have their 2" blocks and the stock 5600 Lbs springs in a couple trucks. The trucks with the 5600 springs and the 2" blocks sit about 1/2 to 3/4 higher and the ride is like stock. I like the Spring only trucks ride better. There's a big difference in the height of the spring and coil diameter compared to the stock springs. I still have a couple to do.

Looks like the Rough Country style spacer would maintain the OEM spring pad into position. With the other style, things could shift/spin.
