What are KS winds? Are they more famous than the wind from DC?

What I think is that the wind that is coming out of DC these days would blow it off the road pretty quick...lol

Since there are no mountains for 700plus miles in any direction the winds normally blow 10-mph most of the time-- can get up to 40 or fifty on a breezey day-- 60-70-90 mph straight line winds before and after storms. Then of course the tornados. KS is kinda famous for winds--- I am trying to break that stereo type though-- I break wind as often as I can!!.
