Need help with electrical issues
You may have more than one problem.
Did the light problem come about suddenly after some event?
Check your battery state of charge & post the open circuit voltage Number. If the state of charge is low & you have battery caps, remove them & check that the plates are covered with electrolyte, if not top up with Distilled water & replace the caps.
Then Check the under hood power distribution box for blown fuses
Then check the B+ & B- battery cable connections on Both ends, to make sure their clean bright & tight.
Then connect your smart charger & set it for the type battery you have & set it to a Low rate of charge, say 4-6 amps, so to let it Slowly recharges the battery.
Once the battery charge is right, try starting the engine. If it'll start & run, then use your multimeter to check the alternator output voltage as you'd want to know why the battery soc was down?
Once the battery & alternator are known to be ok, use, borrow, or come by a ELM scan tool as discussed here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-scantool.html & running FORScan diagnostic software on the viewing device of your choice, have it scan the computer for trouble code clues & post All code Numbers, as they can help focus a trouble shoot
Some beginning thoughts for consideration, let us know what you find.
