I am looking to install a ZF into my 75. I have recently found out that a diesel ZF will bolt directly to a NP205, and happen to have a spare one on hand out of a 78' parts bronco I have. The only thing I am waiting on is a confirmation that the gas version of the ZF will bolt dirctly to a NP205.

Need help locating a ZF 5 speed gas 4wd. I do not mind rebuilding it my self, but I do mind paying $1k for a rebuilt one. If anyone knows where I could find a core for one of these beasties, please let me know. These are the trucks that they came in 88' to 96' F-250,350,and 450s. Any gas model 4wd. Visual inspection on the 88'-91' 250s with 302 is needed however, some of these came with the Mod, but just with the 302. Engines start at the inline six, up to the 460. Any help locating one would be appreciated,,, the closer to Tulsa the better.... Thanks,

Point of info. A ZF will bolt up to a 205 but you have to notch the tail housing where the shift rails come out of the transfercase. It's easy to do and doesn't hurt the tranny at all
I have a ZF in my 68 Bronco. Love it! It was quite easy to install. Made my own cross member but I see BC Broncos has a nice one out now. I used the stock Ford F-250 Hyd. clutch set up and the ZF shifter and fabbed a new cover. Joes ZF page is right on the money...it is what got me hooked on a ZF, I was running a NP435. FWIW...someone told me the 205 would not fit between the Bronco frame rails. I do not know if that is true or not.

I have done the ZF install, used my own parts and methods. I did take the time to write it up, addressed my twin stick setup also. Here is the addy for the info.
