Running Boards / Step Bars
Q: Using the Build and Price tool it appears that for F350 XL/STX I can get black 'running boards' or chrome 'step bars'. My understanding is that they mount and are in alignment/drop equivalent to approximately the center hubs of the wheels.
I have seen many dealer in-stock photos where these boards/tubes are cropped-up close to the rocker panels, something that I do NOT want.
How can I assure that ordering either will be delivered with the 'drop' mount?

I'm sorry I can't be of much help with this, but worse case, you can ask your dealer to offer IN WRITING, the correct running boards you want.
I haven't personally seen stock running boards on a SD that are up close to the rocker panels....all I have seen have a good drop on them.

F150 boards are tight to the door. Stock superduty steeps drop much lower. A lot of people put the f150 steps on there superdutys, I would guess that’s what you seen. I put Raptor running boards on my f350. I like the tighter look.
