Level Kit Prices

What are you guys seeing for level kit prices installed?

I started with my dealer and they recommended the Ready Lift kit. He said no need for the track bar relocation and gave an installed price of $1000 including the alignment. For a kit that costs $250 for the parts, that seemed really high for the install. I could do it myself but would prefer not to. At $150/hour or so for labor, it sounds like they are accounting for a 4 hour install. Sure doesn't look like a 4 hour install from what I've seen.

I'm curious what others have paid out the door.

Most places around me are charging $250 for ready-lift installs. Just the install, not the kit.

I bought new springs for $199 and then had them installed and truck aligned for an additional $180.

I paid $1,000 for 3.5" Rugged Offroad kit + installation in Houston area.
https://www.ruggedoffroad.com/produc...1pc-driveshaft

Same place does 2.5" Rugged Offroad kit w/ trackbar $475 kit + installation.

Same place labor for lift kits up to 6" = $475.

My dealer quoted me 500 out the door just today. I believe that includes track bar relocation bracket. Rough country spacers I think

Local 4WD shop installed ReadyLift 2.5” level for $650 including the alignment. That kit came with the trackbar bracket (which really is a must). I added the alignment / caster shims for $100 and a Fox single steering stabilizer for $169 I think? I love the combo of it all now - tracks straight and is firmly planted. Will upgrade shocks when my ship comes in.

I paid $25 for the 2" motofab leveling kit on Amazon. Took me about an hour to install by myself in my driveway. Found a local shop to align afterwards for $35 so it cost me a grand total of $60. It's been on for 20,000 miles now with no problems. Still aligned perfectly.

well... aligned “perfectly” is not really true. I’ll take your word that it drives straight, but your front axle is not centered.

Being a 2" it's barely noticable. Guess I should have said tires have worn perfectly and truck drives Great. Relocation brackets are designed for 2.5" kits and it's not noticeable enough to add an adjustable track bar. Not for me anyway.

Considerations

I've heard people having issues with the 2/2.5" leveled kits regardless of brand. Lower suspension mods don't necessarily have less "issues". The 4" kits have everything to accommodate the difference in hieght, while not being that much higher than the level kit (Pittman arm drop, track bar drop, springs, etc). If 4" is too high disregard the following.

I did the BDS 4 link. Came with progessive springs, fox shocks, long pittman arm, track bar bracket, fox dual stabilizers, and 2" larger than stock rear blocks. The springs, stabilizers, and shocks MAKE a huge difference in improving ride quality. All for $2,300. Without the fox upgrade it's only ~1700, but the extra cash is WAY with it. Install/time cost more than quality parts.

I have a 2 inch kit from BDS with a relocation bracket. My bar is maxed out with adjustment to center the axle even with the bracket. It's definitely not just designed for a 2.5 inch level and its absolutely noticeable that your front axle is not centered. Maybe you don't care or notice but I don't want to gloss over this for others that may be considering a level.

I stand corrected. Which relocation bracket are you running with the 2" kit?

I just bought a 17 with a 2.5" ReadyLift kit. It does have the sway bar spacers, but I don't seem to have the track bar bracket or extended bump stops. Front axle sits about 1/2" - 5/8" toward the driver's side, but you can clearly see that the coil springs sit like this: \ \. Is this just a cosmetic issue? Best to go with adjustable track bar or relocation bracket from ReadyLift? Are the extended bump stops a must? Thanks.
