I need power!!!

Ok i just got a new 2001 Ford f-150. Its so sick, but it came with a 4.6L. It has a 5in RCD suspension lift, and a 3in Performance Accesories Bod Lift,so 8in total, it has 36' Parnelli Jones. Nice tires, but It has no pick up at all. What can i do to the engine to get me going again? I got a AEM Brute Force Intake, and Dual Flowmasters 40 Series... would headers improve performance? or lose back pressure? Is a programmer worth the money? SuperChargers, would I have to change anything, transmission? gears? any suggestions would help, thnx.

change your ring and pinions to 4.56. youll get a lot of it back. Headers are good but the gears will do the best to offset those tires on there. If you want a race truck then you cant have 8 inches of lift and 36's or at least that's my experience.

Those tires are hurting you the most. It would look silly with small tires so i agree with the gear ratio change idea.

I guess everyone's experience is different, I'm not gonna go out to the track or to the illegals and try to race a lifted truck, its not gonna happen. I just want to make sure when I need power I'll have it, I'm not sure if my dad's gonna get a boat or not, but if he does, I'm pretty sure im not gonna be able to haul it. Today when i was driving on the freeway, I wanted to see how it ran, i think at about 80mphs with is like nothing, i was at 3000rpm. It has no more pick up after that...so 80 is like basically my top off, not becuase of the computer chip, but because of the lack of power. So if i get my gears changed to 4.56, i'm sure they'll help out, but how much will they cost, and which ones should i buy?

Hey guys I'm new to this site, but from what I see its pretty good. Anyways I have a 97f150 V6 w/auto transmission, and I also have a 95 mustang 5.0 engine. I was wondering if the truck's tranny would hook up to my mustang motor? If that didn't work then would the 5.0 tranny hook up and work right w/my truck? I would love to do this swap. There's not enough umph in my V6. Also if there are any other changes that I would need to do I would love to hear some ideas.

Thanks, PLEASE HELP!

P.S. I WANT A RACE TRUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
