The new old Dual head unit is installed and it rocks. Used one of those aftermarket install kits and it fit like a glove. Speakers survived... no hiss or cracking or squeaking so I can vouch for those poly cone speakers. All 4 were underwater. Not sure how long they will last in the future with use but for now it actually sounds great. Next up on the list of things to do is replace the anti-lock brake module. I thought they were waterproof since it is in the engine compartment but maybe just water resistant and being left submerged for a week was just too much for it. I'll clean and replace all the anti-lock brake sensors while I'm at it and hopefully that dash light will go off and not come back on.
