I was at a local dealer last week and all of their new '19s had either Michelins or the Goodyear Wranglers. I have yet to see one with Hankooks and the Contis I only see on the 17" wheels.
There's been some good reviews on the Goodyear Wrangler that Ford has been shipping some trucks with. Mine came with the Michelin A/T's, and although Michelin is a top brand among tires, this A/T is not their best tire.
Tony M 6.7, any chance you measured the tread depth when new? So many tires now, in my opinion, offer ‘half-life’... Cooper offers some with 18-22 32nds, others not so much. Thanks.

No, I did not. Problem is, I believe tire wear is dependent upon how the truck gets used, driving habits, heavy towing and scrubbing while loaded, various road conditions, etc. The best wearing tire I had was on my 2012 it was a Nitto dura grappler. Second best was a Toyo A/T. My friend just put a set of Continental Terrain Contacts on ( which are getting tons of great reviews) and waiting to hear back from him after he has them for a few days.
Understood...I was just pointing out that some tires don't start out with a whole lot of tread...now, I would imagine that a deep tread can wear down more quickly than a shallower tread, based on quality of rubber, tread design, etc as you are stating...
Goodyear wranglers on my 18 have 20k, and well worn. About 8k towing, not very good on tread wear IMO. Might get 30k out of them if I'm lucky.
Michelin defenders on my Dodge got about 50k with similar driving/towing. Friends with similar trucks get about same on Michelin Defenders. Will be my next tire.
