Can anyone explain a clunking noise when I am braking for a stop sign.. im in 3rd gear and throw it into neutral to brake, then once im stopped i let off the brake (it makes a clunk towards the rear) then I shift into 1st.
Im not sure, Im having a lot of problems w/ my truck. The clutch pedal is spongy but that could just be air in the hydrolics. Then sometimes when I'm letting off the clutch in 1st., say when im trying to accelerate faster then norm, I hear a whinning noise.
Then yet at other times its hard shifting into gears. Somedays the clutch seem fines then at other times its a real *******. So an insight could help. Thanks.
Oh I have also realized a decrease in gas mileage, that can sometimes be symptoms of a bad clutch
