Ive taken my straight axle front end mods as far as I can, but not still satisfied.
In a nut shell down and forward springs , shock relocate, king pins, disc brakes and antiroll bars.
I grew up with straight axles.
Dont care for how wheels set on CV.
To anyone who has the Jag front suspension, how long has it been installed and do you like it.
I found a 84 xj6 cheap. Expect to rebuild.
I installed the Jag-soft mounted and have been driving Willard for 5 years. I am really pleased with the ride, handling and brakes. You will not be disappointed.
I've had mine installed for a while, been driving it since June. Mine is solid mounted and I replaced the coils with airbags. It rides good, tracks great, and the brakes are excellent.
The steering rack was the biggest problem though. I tried to rebuild the one I had, but there are no instructions to be found in the whole of the internet, so taking it apart was a challenge. I did get it eventually, but it leaked. I then searched for about another month before I finally found a place out west that sells rebuilt ones.
With the airbags deflated, my running boards sit on the ground, so it gets plenty low...if that's your cup of tea.
***** I am in the garage right now looking mine over and thinking of a new front end I also have all of the above parts that you mentioned. I will pm you and we can try to get ahold of each other.

Jag is the best way to go and mounts for soft mount of the IFS are fairly easy to make. Bill (49willard) helped me out a lot with measurements and advise.
Weld in is another way to go if you want your truck lower than stock.
I have only driven mine around the block 5 or 6 times, but the ride quality was great. I recommend the Jag IFS for F1s
Good Luck

Ive had mine done for 3 years, but lost a rod or main so I’m going to change it up.

That’s the info. I want to set it up to drive better. I’ve had or been with this truck over 40 yrs. it’s on the 2nd ground up.

forgot to mention it has Saginaw cross steer with a pan hard bar. I’ve built 4-5over the yers.
I've got about 15k miles on my 48 with a jag ifs. So far so good. I spaced the lower spring plate down with a couple of washers to lower it slightly. I did a complete rebuild before installing it. It handles just fine and has a smooth ride. Much cheaper than a MII. It's also a talking point at car shows. No one ever guesses what it is.
I put them in both of my F1s, welded in. One truck in limbo, other have about 1200 miles on it, worked so well I am using them in other project cars as well. Hundreds of pictures in my build threads and I have some other jag related threads here as well. Picking up another XJ6 on Saturday to put the IFS into my 1956 Bentley project.
