I've had LEER, Snug Top and ARE. The new ARE is great. No leaks. Electric latch lock is great. Fold down window is really nice for cleaning the windows.

Man that looks awesome. Any comments on the questions concerning the camera system? How much did it drain your pocket?
Was torn between ARE and LEER. Went with LEER because dealer said they have superior customer service. Paint on the original shell did not match to my liking, so they pulled the gas door and sent to a lab to match. Shell came back a perfect match, but has some other small issues when transported, chip in the corner and scratches on the window. They offered to rebuild a new shell while i kept this one. Its in and I'll get it next week. According to dealer, the paint is guaranteed for life. Glad with my choice, Also has the Leer Locker which is a locking storage bay in the ceiling of the shell.
Can any one elaborate on the camera system being affected due to the shell being on? I am under the impression that all of the cameras work cohesively to produce the overall 360 view. I am curious to know if the bed camera being blocked would affect it.

The bed camera isn’t included in the surround view birds eye view of your truck. It uses the side mirror cams, front grill cam and cam on the tailgate. The bed cam is designed to assist with 5th wheel and goose neck hookups so adding a shell won’t affect any views beyond that one.

Appreciate the reply. Also has anyone reinforced the bed due to having the camper shell(long term thinking) to prevent gaps bewteen tailgate and bed or bed and cab. I had a shell on my Ram 1500 and after three years did not notice any wider gaps between tailgate and bed from weight of shell.

They installed it with 4 or 6 clamps IICRC.... I drilled 6 holes and added aluminum bolts to help keep it stabilized as I plan on keeping it on long term. At first I used stainless hardware but then realized after that I probably should use aluminum to match the bed rail material. Benn on over an year and no leaks in sight even through a New England winter and no garage.
As far adding support to the bed itself...no. I wouldn't even know where to start with that.
SnugTop XtraVision on my 2017 F350. The truck cap is pretty level with the truck cab. I attached a Larson Electronics antenna plate to the CHMSL for my magnetic cell phone booster antenna.
Man these Shells look great. I am still half steppin waiting to find one used. If some one is near NC and wants to sell i have cash in hand. What is the average wait time after you order till ya'll received it?
