2017 F450 Lariat Rear Seat Removal

Has anyone removed the rear seat? Ideally I'd like to remove the "60" section of the 60-40 seat. My local dealer balked at the job indicating it's difficult and the heated seating wiring is problematic when removing only part of the rear seat.
Any advice / tutorials / instructions / videos are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Wondering the same thing; I’m compiling a list of weight reduction candidates.

The two cow catchers just behind the bumper. Mine came off when I tried to install a front receiver hitch.

My list also includes the tailgate, the rear under seat storage box, the back seat floor mat, and the back seat headrests.

Thanks!

My thoughts also are to gut the backseat area when we start our full time adventure. Some kind of organizing area will have to take place then.

It came out fairly easy in my XLT. Can’t speak to the electrical differences in the Lariat
