I have a leak coming from what I’m assuming is an up pipe, on my 6.4 ( loud hissing noice and blows some black smoke from behind turbo) so I need to pull my cab off. My truck has a spartan tuner and I was told that if you unplug the computer system while in the process of pulling the cab you’re going to has to re-flash the computer to get it running again after wards. I don’t feel like having to pickup towed to a dealership to do this. Just wondering if because I have a programmer I can just flash it myself and get it running?
Jeff, hold on the cab. We have guys in here that can set you up with great advice.
Pointing a finger at the leak in a picture is worth a thousand dollars!!!
On the tune end. You should be able to return it to stock with your program and not need a re flash prior to disconnect. In essence you'll just reload the tune after the repair.
