My button was on the screen when I bought my truck 2 years ago. Has always worked until this fall.

Guess I need to go an try a reset to the module as I don't hear it activating when I hit the button..
Anyone else had any problems like this?

Thank you for the heads up, it really helped to have someone else go through the "missing module" first when they called me to tell me that mine did not have it also.

Mine is out of warranty, do you know how much a steering wheel costs?

I've heard 3K. I had my heated steering wheel stop working on my 2017 and they replaced the wheel just before my warranty expired. Now it's not working again and I only have 89K miles on the truck. This is unacceptable for an 80K truck. I'm not spending 3K on a new wheel out of warranty. There should be a recall on these with this many people having issues.

WOW..the misinformation. A Lariat wheel with heat is about 350-400.00 It will take about 30 minutes to do it yourself. Now if you have adaptive steering, the steering wheel is around 24-2500.00 and Im guessing most do it yourselfer's cant do it. so it would be -3k at the stealership

When I priced my wheel with adaptive steering and heat, with my discount the cheapest I could get one was $2600, for the part only.

Found this thread when searching about this issue. My 2022 heated steering wheel stopped working too. I pulled #37 fuse, did a hard sync reset and nothing. I have adaptive steering in the king ranch trim. Curious what availability of replacement will be. I’ll have them look into it when my truck goes in for upper oil pan leak.
also, this truck had the hottest steering wheel I’ve ever had in a superduty, would literally burn your hand. Might explain why it stopped working.

My 2021 F250 with adaptive steering and only 30K miles has the same heated wheel problem. Seems they haven’t fixed this problem since 2017. Mine is still under warranty. How do we get Ford to address this so I’m not doling out $3k+ in a few years we the replacement fails.

My trucks wheel was very hot last year when it was new. It was nice during winter but it started to get so hot you’d move your hands around and I’d say that’s one reason it stopped working, burnt itself out.

I believe you can adjust the wheel temp in FORScan. I also do believe that the heating element in heated steering wheels have a finite life.

I had no problem with the temperature of the wheel when it was working. Asked my dealership why Ford hasn’t corrected this problem since 2017. She said they haven’t had any truck in their shop with this problem that required a new wheel so it’s not a huge impacting problem. Figures I’d be the first.

Yes how do you get Ford to address these problems....just like the electric tailgate not opening.... probably the most stupid idea any engineer ever came up with!!

I gave up on ford. I wish there was an excellent dealership close. Heated steering wheel, upper oil pan leak, and an occasional loss of tpms is aggravating. Truck is good otherwise so count my lucky stars I guess. It pulls and gets me from a to b.
