Steering Wheel

My steering wheel around the airbag is getting warm is this standard? never had this problem before.

02 f250 7.3L 140K

Is it leather? Mine is wearing off where I grab it. I just bought a nice JOHN DEERE cover and all is good again.

warm or worn? if warm, absolutely not. that is a scary thought.

Yes it is leather, it gets warm where the cover meets the steering wheel, like if you put your hands threw the steering wheel and touch the back of the cover. that is where it is geeting warm. and i do need a new steering wheel cover, do i need to place the whole wheel or get one of those covers?
