I drove my 85 F150 approx 30 Miles with frequent stop and go’s and the truck progressively started losing power to the point the truck would barely crawl forward from a stop in first gear at WOT. I’m thinking this must be a transmission issue. What do you guys think? She died a mile away from my home, could not move any more after that. Surely the clutch wore out and is slipping which isn’t transferring the power to the wheels efficiently? I’d like to have some reassurance before I pull the transmission.
i appreciate your time. Thankyou.

When the clutch slips the engine will over rev for the speed you are going, if that happend the clutch is shot.. If that did not happen look to an engine issue (fuel or ignition)

I never smelled anything anything. I did replace the master cylinder and booster and bled the front brakes before the trip. Also it doesnt feel at all like the brakes would be engaged.

As I get older and crankier, I find my mind-reading ability starting to slip. Can you please clarify what the engine is doing when you say the truck would barely crawl? Is the engine RPM revving way up? Or is the engine barely making any power and is bogging down at a very low RPM? That's a huge difference and your post isn't very clear.
Before you tear into the clutch, make sure the linkage has fully released. If the clutch was slipping that badly, I'd expect you'd hear lots of horrible grinding noises and smell that burning odor (like hot brakes).

Hydraulic system so no linkage. The clutch is failed.... And you do not always get a burning smell on the clutch when they wear out..
