Mines all in CDN funds..... We have a new additional tax which is going to make my purchase pretty smart, it’s an extra $9000 on the purchase now....
WHOA! What happened up there in the "Land of our Northern Neighbor"? Did your PM put a tariff on new trucks from the US so that you Canucks will buy more Canadian Made Trucks? - said in jest, kind of.
KBB says my trade-in value ranges from $58,259 to $63,638 (avg. $60,949). MSRP was $72K, paid $64K 14 months ago and it now has 7,500 miles. Yep, holding its value pretty well.
I just redid mine and put 7500 miles on it like yours instead of my 34k miles and it came up with $57900-$62400 trade in. Private party of $60700-$65400. My msrp was $74000. Must be our zip codes.
putting on about 50k miles a year I’m used to it depreciating. I’m looking at a little Colorado duramax to put the bulk miles on and keep off my supeduty, and only use them when I pull my equipment which is 1/4 of the time.
just out of curiosity, why no 20's?
Just wondering if I made a mistake by ordering mine with 20's

they are an upgrade and replacement tires are a little more. Do you like the looks? Cause that’s all that matters. I like them and get them when I get srw.
just for clarification that hold for oil burners....gassers take a big dump.
I saw the paper work when I went to re-fi mine (Went with Ford for the extra $500, then went with my credit union).
Dropped 10k in market value within 3 months. Good thing I have no plans on trading.
i did that when I purchased one of my 2016 F150s. After the smoke cleared the savings was minimal.
In Florida you pay “doc stamps” to the state when you finance. The doc stamp rate is $.35 for every $100. So if you finance say $40,000 you pay the state $140 in doc stamps in addition to the 6% sales tax. Then if you refinance you pay State doc stamps again plus for about 10 days your paying interest on old and new loan until old loan is paid off. A $40,000 loan at 6.8% (ford standard rate) is about $7.50/day vs est 3% credit union about $3.25/day.
So so if it takes 30 days to to get a FMC loan number, get all paperwork done and switch, it would cost me additional $140 doc stamps plus another $160 or so in interest compared to just going to credit union in the first place. The net saving only works out to $200.
I know $200 is not peanuts but it wasn’t worth it for me.

This. Zeroo has it right - more personal preference than anything else. I wouldn't mind the 20s, but don't want to pay another thousand for them plus the cost of new tires down the road. We are somewhat optimistically thinking that will happen, someday. I've been there before, too. Used to have a toy car that came with 18's, could also have been 17s. Not much difference... but man the cost of the tires sure was! I have no real preference either way, on the truck, so even though the 20's look great I can live with the 18s and spend the difference on other stuff, like the LED lights. Now, THOSE I do want!
No. LOL! We've seen some 2017's, and yeah they do hold their value way too well. So do the 2018 leftovers. We're just going to order a new 2019 F350 CCSB SRW, Lariat trim with the diesel. With what we want... and not what we don't want, like 20's and the chrome package... it will still list around $74k. I am hoping to get it for around $68k, but I have no PCO. Might have the $750 EAA thing, still not sure about that although I did join week before last...
Nice price on yours! I would be thrilled with that much off of a new F350! Oh, and nice trailer too. That's why we're buying our truck, too. Have not ordered the truck yet, but did order a Rockwood 5th wheel last week. Not as nice as the Grand Designs, but we think it'll do us pretty well to start with.
VR4, sounds like you’re ordering the same truck as mine.

I had built my 2019 F-350 4x4 CCLB Lariat 6.7L (locked in on 17 October, probably coming in December) with 20" wheels and A/S tires. But before the order got locked in, I did three things. I was at a dealership and measured the height of 18" Goodyear Kevlar A/T tires on a 2019 F-250 Lariat and 20" Michelin A/S tires on a 2019 F-250 Platinum, They were BOTH 33" tall. I was surprised, but "the measuring tape does not lie". I next read an opinion post on this site that said, "I would never put 20" wheels on a Super Duty". I wondered why but never explored an answer. Then I came across a guy on Craigslist who was selling 20" wheels and tires off a Platinum model SD, CAST ALUMINUM WHEELS (what I had ordered, the $1,420 MSRP wheels on the build on NADA) WITH 20" A/S TIRES WITH ONLY 130 MILES ON THEM. Believe me when I say that I was highly skeptical, figuring this dude for a scammer. But I called him, and he turned out to be an upstanding guy who was acquiring "take offs" from dealerships. I'm not going to go into the details of this any farther. Suffice it to say that he was selling the wheels with tires mounted for $1,100!!!
Now I have yet to see the product, but I believe it will be real. I decided to change my build to 18" wheels with A/T tires because the 18" Cast Aluminum Wheels come at no-charge. I could have gotten the A/S tires for no-charge, but I went for the A/T's for $244 invoice price (if I recall correctly my build with a 3.55 ELD axle made me get the A/T's). I am not completely decided yet, but I'm seriously thinking of buying a set of 20" wheels from him and saving them until my first set of tires wear out. Given that the tires are the same height, I strongly suspect that it won't significantly affect my speedometer and odometer. Now before this comment solicits a barrage of responses from the know-more-than-me's on this forum, let me say that I switched out 20" wheels on my Toyota Tundra, which I am currently driving, to 18" wheels. The affect on the speedometer/odometer wasn't enough for me give a s**t; it was about 1.5MPH on the speedometer (45 was 46.5). So maybe my SD Ford will read 43.5 instead of 45 if I go the opposite route, and maybe not; 45mph may read 45 - NBD (I generally despise the use of acronyms but decided to throw this one out).
Pretty close, Flyct. Getting the sunroof in place of the off-road, and cutting out the full tow tech package but getting the adaptive cruise and CHMSL camera to look in the bed. I might miss the adaptive steering, but never will have had it so... LOL.
Hjabernathy, yeah the 20 inch tires are "low profile" so the overall wheel/tire height is about the same. I was also planning on the ELD, did not get anything requiring any tire either way when I put that in at the Ford build site, have to see what happens with a real dealer in a while. I did want the standard all seasons, not the off road, just for the quieter ride but some OTHER threads say that may not be the way to go. Funny that you are trading up from a Tundra! I am getting rid of my Taco for the F350, and when I bought that the difference between the all season tires (which I have) and the off road (which I passed on) was pretty noticeable. Of course, that's a six cylinder gas engine not a diesel so big difference there alone.
Always more to learn... anybody's comments on their tires appreciated.
mines a lariat f350. The one in my sig. I was just going by our msrp’s.
I don't see a sig in your posts.

Yes, with LEDs, BLIS, 20" wheels, but opted to not get the sunroof and adaptive cruise control (in hindsight, I shoulda' got the ACC) ... no premium package because I dislike chrome.
I live in ca where deals are few and far between. At least it seems that way. I traded in a ‘12 with a dent and bald tires, 109k miles, lariat with 60/40 bench and no nav screen. I got 30k for trade in. Sticker on new truck was almost 71,500. Got em down to 68,500. And they gave me 7500 in rebates on top of that? Not sure if rebates is correct terminology. I think it was a great deal! I paid taxes on the 68,500 however.
Sorry. Mine was dealer lot ‘18 however. Not sure what the diff is. But money worked and it’s my same truck I had before but with more stuff and buckets

I was having problems with my 2017 F350 Dually. About a year after I purchased it, I had
3100 miles on it and wanted to trade it in on the exact same 2018 F350 Dually. Dealer
wanted $18000.00 difference. Up here in Canada the Ford SD's don't seem to hold their
value very well when you trade then in but they sure seem to hold their value good when
the dealer puts them on the lot for sale.
