Fuel Pump help- how to align?

Hey everyone, this is my first post here so I hope I didn't break any rules! I'm attempting to change the fuel pump on my new 1986 F-150 (ha!), as it was dripping gas from the diaphragm while running. It is a 300 motor. I just have a couple questions.

The new pump came with two gaskets, do I need to stack them on top of one another? I didn't understand why it came with two.

I am a little nervous here. Am I going to damage the motor trying this? The cam?? How do you line the fuel pump arm up with it?

I thought it would be easy to take the old pump off and slap a new one on, but I have never done this before. I'm (clearly) a novice. All help is greatly appreciated.

Here's a good video for a beginner. This is not your exact engine, but everything applies. Only use one gasket. Lay the gaskets, one on top of the other to make sure they are both exactly the same. If they are not exactly the same, make sure to use the correct one that fits your pump and engine.
