If the post about 2-year truck is true, maybe a Raptor version in a couple years. They didn't say "never" but it's not gonna happen for a while based on what looks like a legit report.

Just got another confirmation on the 2 year thing today talking to my buddies at the dealer. Wouldn't be a big surprise if Ford offered a Ranger Raptor in the 2021 model year when there should be a lot more than an I4 for an engine. I think an eye should be kept on the upcoming Bronco for some hints as to what the 2021 Ranger could be.

It did take Ford 2 years to redo the Raptor in aluminum, so if the 2021 is revised as a basic model, it may be another year or two to do a Raptor....if they believe buyer demand is there at the price they have to charge... The F150 Raptor sells pretty quickly, but fuel economy regs may make the Ranger Raptor a more logical truck for the long term future.

It would make sense for the new Bronco to be the basis for a future Ranger, at least the front clip and maybe some of the drivetrain stuff.

I gotta say, the 2019 really hasn't impressed me all that much, when I see it person,it might be a little different story. But from the conversations I've had, I'm a little more excited thinking we could have one .
with at least the 2.7 in it. The 7 speed manual for the Bronco sounds good for the purest, and I'd think that would be offered in the Ranger as well.
At this time, the Bronco isn't really in my sights, but I want to see it in the light of being a hint for the Ranger. I'm finally getting excited again.

Yeah, I think looking at the Bronco will give us some interesting info which might translate to the Raptor. Here's hoping it's a beast!

I'm really curious as to what kind of Ranger performance bits we'll see at SEMA. I bet there's going to be plenty of stuff to help it along...
