drone noise
I have a 00 Expedition XLT 2wd 4.6 with the 4R70W trans. I have experienced a drone type noise, like when you drift off the side of the road and run over the "wake up" strips. It is loud enough to hear over the radio on low volume. The two times this has happened was while driving with the cruise set at 70 on a smooth level highway, after driving with the cruise on for several miles (3-4). When it happens there is a very slight vibration throughout the vehicle. It goes away when the cruise is turned off and vehicle coasts or if I accelerate. I have read a few posts about similar complaints with the 4R100W trans. Has anyone heard of a TSB on this complaint? It would be nice to have a TSB if possible since I will probably not be able to duplicate this complaint for a tech.
