too bad you buy 80 k truck, n ford tells you to pound dirt , have to resort to calling safty board . ford sucks when it comes to warentee , im sure the die hards will say ,all co are the same . 6.0 , 6.4 . triton manifold leakes , firestone tires , ect ect ….. fix the chit ford ,,,

They already fixed it!! TSB issued, repairs being performed.. it is very well known so not sure why you even bothered to post that.

well the real question is then , why is the safty board investigating , if its so called fixed , also what the point of this thread . lol

I wish they could put a spring loaded cover over it or double push like BMW hood latches. Mine has opened by me pressing button reaching for e brake.

Because a TSB is reactive and a recall is proactive.

And to add to that, unless you are googling it or on a forum, you have no clue that there already is a repair procedure in place therefor people experience it and jump right on the NHTSA site to complain.

Heck, even on a forum, clearly there are people on here who still have no clue about it.

Agreed. Mine WILL NOT open with the button on the dash unless circumstances are just right. I think I had mine open by itself once. After that I greased all the connectors underneath the truck and haven't had it happen again.
