Ok, going e-fuel. Have most of it planned. However I have a couple of questions about the filters and bases to use. I know that I am going to need one fuel/water separator/filter pre pump and one low micron filter post pump. I plan on installing a primer pump base on at least one of the filters. Will I need this on one or both. Reason for this will be ease of start up/filter fill up after filter changes. Also want to put a fuel heater in one of them. Should it be pre pump or post pump or does it matter?
Thanks in advance for any and all help.
Best prices I’ve found on the filter based is go to eBay and type in wix filter bases. It’ll come up with the base and a filter combo that’s pretty hard to beat price wise. As far as a filter primer I’ve considered it myself but it’s not really necessary. Also I’d recommend using an fittings for the connections on the filter bases. I ran hoses and barbs on mine but I’m getting ready to swap out to an fittings and lines. This is the setup I built for my brothers truck using an fittings and pushlock I’m gonna use an fittings and braided on mine .

Depending on ur location I wouldn’t worry about the fuel heater either also a superduty pump works great but I’ve also had great luck with walbro gsl392 pumps. And the cool thing is you can get them with an fittings ends.

Which SuperDuty pump are you referring to? The inline pump like what was on 99-03 7.3 PSD trucks?
I picked up my walbro gsl392 for about a hundred bucks on eBay with the an fittings included I’d do that before dual pumps and if you ever had a issue a stock superduty pump is pretty much identical so it would work in place. Of the walbro pump with very minimal modifications.
2 wix 24770/ napa 4770 bases
cat 1r-0750 post filter many other filters fit
cat 175-2949 once again many other filters fit
walbro gsl392 pump with 6an fittings
four 1/2 npt to 6an fiitings
5/16 compression to 6an adapter to reconnect to factory hard line
5/16 hose barb to 6an adapter to connect supply line coming out of the tank selector switch
6 90 dagree 6an fiitings for supply into first filter base and out and back to pump and so on
two straight 6an fittings for supply from tank selector and to reconnect to factory hard line
some sort of banjo adapter to connect to factory fuel pump lines to back of heads get them off ebay reasonable
some sort of regulator many options out there
also a relay and fuse kit or a universal fuel pump wiring kit
also a couple feet of an hose you can run all pushlock style fiitings and line or braided up to you
Again this just how i would do it theres lots of options out there and many diffrent ways to go about it
like currently im running a modified factory regulator without the factory bowl. works just fine reffered to as the tightwad mod i believe.
