Body panel gaps

Anyone know how to corect this massive hood to cowl gap. I’ve tried loosening the two bolts that secure the hood to the hinge and scooting it s
down but it’s maxed out. Any thoughts?

What 2 bolts did you loosen?
There should be 4 bolts, 2 each side on the hood it's self NOT the fire wall ones.
Once lose just slide the hood back some and tighten up and check.

The fire wall bolts of the hinge are for raising / lowering the rear of the hood to line up flush with the tops of the fenders & cowl.
On the front of the hood there should be adjustable bumpers to keep the hood from closing too low then you adjust the latch assy. to fit and work right.

When I finish the body work to my hood and paint the underside I will have to install and adjust it like that too.

You cowl to fender gap is wrong also, that is going to hold the hood from ever being set squarely. There is 4 bolts for the hood adjustment.

I mis-spoke, 2 bolts per side on the bottom side of the hood. I’ve already got it slid back as far as it will go. It’s gotta be something else not lining up. What’s wrong with the fender to cowl gap?

X, can you take a picture of the hinge where it bolts to the fire wall & hood?
Are there any shims between hinge and fire wall?
When did this happen? Were parts replaced and now this and if so what parts?
Only other thing I could think of would be bent hinges.

I spent the better part of the afternoon loosening bolts and tightening them back. I circled the hood bolts in red, they’re absolutely maxed out. I had a little luck with the hinge bolts on the fire wall (green) but it still has a pretty big gap...

The only other thing to do is make the slots longer.
Pull 1 hinge at a time and use a rat tail file to make it longer.
