Just got home from a duck hunting trip to Canada. 5k mile round trip with 1100 miles being on gravel roads and driving in fields. My 2017 Platinum 250 now rattles from every door and the dash. This is my 18th trip up there with various vehicles and never has this happened. Anybody got anything to check or maybe put back in place. Just drove through the neighborhood and the wife commented how bad it sounded. Also, the power running boards are squeaking when they close. Is there a grease fitting for these or just spray the hinges??

Welcome to the world of aluminum , rivets, adhesives, expansion/contraction , etc , my doors have rattled/creeked pretty much since the first test drive , amongst several other issues. Ford is reacquiring their $73,000 2018 F-350 LARIAT truck back after a short lived 1000 miles , so maybe I’ll wait till they work out the bugs before I buy another new SD truck .

Ford is reaquiring mine as well. I assume you are opting for refund instead of replacement?? I have it for at least 3 more weeks while my replacement vehicle ships.
They are taking your truck back giving you a brand new one for the sole reason of doors rattling?
If asking me.....they are taking mine back due to over 30 days out of service in the first 5 months I had it. My 6.7 blew up and was replaced with a new long block at 887 miles. During the drive to check everything out on motor replacement, the turbo disintegrated. Now the truck shakes like you have a flat when you’re towing a trailer or hauling cargo in the bed. They’ve road forced balanced my tires 5 times....replaced with new tires....nothing changed. They denied my buyback twice before agreeing. They let me order a 2019 so I’m fine with them taking care of me. Just wondered about the truck rattling so bad after driving long distances on gravel roads to try to keep my new one from doing it as well.
I just applied the ole electrical tape on the door jam fix on mine and it’s amazing how many creeks and rattles went away from $.02 Worth of tape. I would definitely give it a try on yours. There is a rather lengthy thread on this same topic that is fairly recent. Can’t think of the post title at the moment.

Yes , I’m opting for the cash ! Can’t find another similar equipped truck like mine and the buy back rep said Ford won’t let me order one . Lots of bugs to get worked out , so I’ll probably get a 2020 with the new interior, etc !
Been there and tried the fiber tape bandaid . Now the drivers door aluminum near the hinge is popping while opening/closing after the sun heats it up for awhile ... none of my doors are lined up either , not even the body shop at the dealer could align them properly.... my bed is way off in relation to the cab as well .

The Ford reacquired department allowed you to order a 2019 replacement?
Yes. I ordered a new 2019 on August 8th. It’s arriving on October 29th. I didn’t want a 2018 when 2019s were showing up on lots around here. It was no issue.

I was was told I would have to find a replacement truck in stock or get refunded , no new order allowed!
Did you have to pay the difference of the msrp of the two trucks ?
