I am having issues programming remotes for my 2003 Expedition like in the thread below except no issues with the rear glass: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...te-issues.html

I can get into programming mode (locks cycle) but press on the clicker and nothing happens. The remotes I have are these: https://www.ebay.com/p/2x-Replacemen...75.c100623.m-1

I tried that too. That was my first thought. Then I started reading to see if anyone else had this issue and found the post linked above but he never said what fixed it. I’m trying to avoid going to the dealership.

I tried new batteries, fuses, and still no luck. Will go into programming mode but nothing from the fobs. Keypad on door is partially dead to use code to unlock doors. 7/8,9/0 work ok to lock the doors.
Would the purple wire splice issue pertain to me? Any ideas out there?

It may not be related but just a thought ... I originally had the door ajar issue when I got it and the 3rd seats and automatic headlights didn’t work. I have replaced the door switches to be able to get into programming mode and get the key fobs working. Automatics headlights and power 3rd row still don’t work but I haven’t checked this splice. Maybe I have to bite the bullet and find some more genuine key fobs?
