Tire Sensor’s

I’ve got a 2017 F150. I’m putting some steel wheels on it for the winter. I’ve got a set of wheel sensor’s off a 2018. When I install them will the truck pick the new sensors up or do I have to get them programmed somehow. They are OEM Ford sensors.

You need to order a tire sensor tool. It’s handy to have for tire rotations too.

Does the one you linked work on '18's also? I need to pick on up.

I’ve found out you don’t need the tool. Look it up for 2018 on YouTube. It shows how to do it on a 2018 and it worked on my 2017.

The owners manual shows how to do it without the tool.

I've owned multiple Ford trucks with tpms for going on ten years now and have never had to relearn the sensors after a rotation. All the half ton trucks we've had used the same pressure on front and rear. Like nassty said it also tells you on the manual how to do it if you need to.
