Help with Window Stickers

Been doing a lot of dealer searching for an in stock F350. I am trying to figure out what comes with certain packages but I am totally confused. Attached is the window sticker from a '18 PLAT. I thought the PLAT had everything with very few adds on available but this one comes to $75. I have seen some upwards of $82-$85k. Is this a weird PLAT.

I am having a hard time finding a truck that kinda has what I want and not what I dont.

If you want to get an idea of what's available, and at what MSRP, go to the Ford website and build a few online. Some selections will give you a better idea of what's available in different packages. That Platy in the sticker you linked sounds rather underwhelming.

Looks like it's missing a lot of the standard upcharges like FX4 package, Platinum package, differential, upfitter switches, etc...

Yup definitely missing some options for sure, especially the plat ultimate package for about 3k to start. Once you add some other options as listed above you can hit the 80k mark quick.

Base platinum.. like posted above it's missing the big 3k ultimate package which is likely the minimum that you would want if you're getting a platinum.

The people at dealerships who order trucks often make me scratch my head. They ordered that one with the snow plow prep package, so that would mean to me they are assuming someone might use it as a work truck at least to clear snow in the winter. But. They don’t add on the locking reared or upfitter switches?? Things that could be useful to someone clearing snow. Maybe this truck isn’t in a state that sees snow and they ordered it like that because they know the stiffer springs make the truck look more level??

Anyways, the Platinum ultimate package is the big thing that’s missing from that sticker. That’ll give you the moonroof, adaptive cruise, and all the fancy cameras. I like the locker rear. Not a big cost and I’ve used it a couple times instead of shifting in 4wd. If I would have built mine instead of buying off the lot I would have also added in the premium vinyl floor/carpet delete. All my carpet is covered in rubber mats anyways. I also wouldn’t order the FX4 package either. I’d be lying to myself if I said this truck is ever gonna see an off road situation where it would need skid plates. I go off on well developed trails, but without a lift and good tires, which aren’t in the plans, this truck won’t be seeing anything that would require skid plates, so it’s just extra weight.

Yep. As VA13FX4 said, missing the Ultimate package is the big one. This is what really irks me about Ford. They are EXPERTS in packaging the options to extract the most money. Want leather -> Must upgrade from XLT to Lariat. Want Adaptive Cruise Control, get a Platinum with the Ultimate Package! Heck, isn't adaptive cruise control and braking a standard option on all Toyota's?

They are turning into the Ticketmaster of vehicle manufacturers!
