Wood type for bed mounting

I know these beds had wood blocks between the bed and the frame. What type of wood would be best to use?

I bet it is treated. There is a warning with it. No water should sit there anyway so you could probably make them from treated or cedar would work as it has naturally occurring oils in it to prevent rot and insect issues and it's not treated. Or send the guys in the link and email and ask.
