Will 53-56 F100 hubs fit on my 49 F1 spindles? I know that I must use F100 drums with the F100 hubs. Is there a economical source for F100 drums?

I put hubs from a 52 on the spindles of my 56 because they were missing but that was just to move it around, bearing size was the same as far as I know. that's about all the info I can give..

 

The disc brake conversion kits fit 48-56, but Ford used different parts for 48-52 and 53-56 on both spindles and hubs, and apparently they do not directly interchange. I do not know what is different.

 

Like Wayne I am not sure of the difference with stock spindles but I agree the disc brake kits fit '48-'56. They do have an adapter that needs to be installed but no mention of not using it on some model years so the bearing mounting surface must be the same diameter. The instruction sheet has a better diagram.
