Air conditioning

Hi all:

My buddy from Port Angeles and I had one pleasant surprise today while working on the van.

When I bought the van last month I discovered the air conditioning still worked, and worked well.

When my buddy from Port Angeles was adding THREE quarts of transmission fluid to the transmission he spotted a sticker under the hood, sadly the date is worn off, but the sticker which was put on my Texaco Capella HFC Auto in Medford, OR states that the air conditioning has been upgraded to R-134a. The sticker says it's been retrofitted to SAE J1661.

I'm doing the happy dance now.

Wow. I wonder how long it's been since I heard that one? I'd completely forgotten it.
