4x4 lever broken

4x4 lever broken
truck turns on, drives but starts to shake when driving. Lever is broken, unable to put into 4L, 4H or 2L. It was stuck at first and apparently I pulled it too hard and the lever moves freely now. How do I fix this? (Afraid I was going to do this) - 73 Ford F100 XLT

You would have to force it really hard to break it. Now what? Figure out what you broke and why it was stuck.
