It helps a bit that the kit is custom so everything comes apart very easy. Plus Im a young feller, actually this was a birthday present to myself, turning 31 on the 8th.
Why did you take the compressor housing off if you don't mind me asking?
Took it off to inspect it, also a little easier to work around. Although the SXE compressor cover is shapes a bit different than the last turbo.
Had a small clearance issue with my up-pipe v-band clamp on the compressor housing. I should have loosened it and re-clocked it but I didnt. It is barely touching and is past the bellow so it wont be moving around rubbing more.
First and foremost this truck needs some better tuning. Anything PMT1 shifts rough but has great fueling. Anything PMT3 shifts great but defuels HARD between shifts. I can really only tow using a PMT3 tune, all else just beats you up bad. Probably going to take another stab at a custom tune but have never been happy with the tuning in the truck, mainly the hard shifts. You can hear it defueling in the video, was the same story with the S366. With PMT1 tuning this thing will lay a 150ft black mark letting off the brakes once it gets spinning. PMT3, its lucky to go 20ft before it falls on its face before a shift.
PMT1 80hp
Quick ride around with the S363, this thing is...a big change from the 366!
The 366 has the SXE turbine but not the SXE compressor housing and wheel. Everything on the turbine side is the same. Here is a comparison of the 363 and 366 (on the right).
