I think it has more to do with the high demand on the HPOP.

80% was the "talk" when I got my sticks. For me it was 0% or 80% (everything else is enlarged from these two sizes) and I certainly wasn't going to dump that kind of cash into new sticks and stay with 0%.

I was very happy with the 80% nozzles but my modified stock turbo wasn't cutting it. I was hoping the rebuild and billet wheel would be enough but even with tuning adjustments I wasn't going to clear up my haze without moving up to a Garrett ball-bearing turbo. Unfortunately I didn't make it that far before trading my truck for a check.

What do the people TUNING them say?

I acknowledge that I am but one person in the universe and am far from knowing it all but 80/100% on an A-code is, and has been, my favorite for a looooong time.

I was probably only around 15 k till trans went bad and blew a head gasket
but I have fire ringed heads that are rebuilt, new trans, and all work was done by a shop. It’s real easy to spend way to much way to quickly when you start hopping up a 20 year old truck

I hear ya. I’m probably around 9k-10k in parts into my 2001 right now. 4k of that is transmission. I didn’t anticipate so many “while you’re in there” and “things I didn’t anticipate” fixes. Two days ago I inspected the engine wiring harness and discovered it’s on its last leg so there’s another several hundred bucks, have to use it for now. I’m thankful to not be paying someone else for labor but it’s also kept me from working on equipment that I need to farm with this spring.

I would imagine if everything else is healthy you could put down dyno numbers quite a bit north of 500 with what you have done to yours.
