I purchased my 2011 F150 last year. Love this truck. It was an upgrade from the 97 Explorer I had for 11 years. The only problem I am having is the dash says the rear
door is open but it is not. So I ordered a new door latch and installed it. I still have the message on my dash. Any ideas to what could be causing this?
I'm assuming you misspelled crew cab in the title, but there are several threads on the crew cab rear door light being on and the problem is usually the wiring in the B-pillar gets pinched and breaks. The system defaults to door open when the wiring is broken. I just went through this with my 2013 F150 Screw.. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ease-help.html
Thank you for your response.
I checked the wiring harness in the door all the way to the connection at the body. Nothing looks damaged or out of place. As a precaution I ordered a new harness. Was only $52 online. When it arrives I will install it and hope it works..
