Depending on the year you can cycle the key in the ignition from "off" to "on" 8 times or about, until the door locks acttuate, or you have to take it to a technician to physically program it with a NGS or WDS.
Cycle your key from off to on 8 times the door locks should lock and unlock . On the steering column there is a pigtail .Jump the 2 wires and it should work. It did for me .
Ford used two different types of remote entry, one that was just remote entry (but with a panic button) and one that was an actual alarm as well. You most likely have the first. Under the dash right above were your right foot sits is the programming connector. turn your key to on, Jump the two prongs on the connector, the doors will lock then unlock press any button on your transmitters (all previous remotes will be erased so you need to reprogram all of them) for each one the doors will lock and unlock. when your done turn your ignition off. your doors will lock and unlock once again. your done.

i know this is an old thread, but I can't find the connector you've listed. I have a 1993 EB 5.8 and the module in your picture isn't there... I have only owned this truck for 2 months, and I've just now bought a used transmitter. the dealer i bought the turck from said the one he gave me should work. I'm lost as to how to reprogram it; I've tried every method I can find. I noticed that you have a '93 EB as well... does the keyless work the same way? is it in the same place? I'm starting to think I got lied to when i bought this truck.
Sounds like what was thought to be a factory unit...isnt a factory but aftermarket. The modules in the picture are all factory items. Look in other places under the dash, behind kick panels, under the hood. You could find the module for the aftermarket keyless entry. If you don't find anything, then you were lied to. I liek the aftermarket better myself. You can add the extra goodies like remote starter, remote rear window.
yeah, i think I'm gonna get an aftermarket alarm. Shock protection, motion sensing, keyless entry, remote start, rear window up/down... I can get all that for less than $300 for a name brand, professionally installed, and lifetime warranty. It would be less, but I wanted both up and down buttons for my rear glass. I'm just disappointed that I can't use this factory remote until I have the cash for the alarm.
I have a 96 XLT - when I bought it I didn't get a remote or anything. What are the chances I have keyless entry? Can I just look under the dash for that setup? If I find that I do have it, where can you get a remote?
If the modules are in place..then yes you can get a remote to use on them. Just have to program like some of the other guys have metioned. But usually, if no remote then no modules...unless someone just lost em and didnt care.
I'd say to look under there. As I understand it, almost all XLT and EB models from 94-96 had keyless entry or a factory alarm. I could be wrong, but that's what I gathered from the research I did on my '93. If you need a remote, I'll give you mine for the cost of shipping +$5 which is less than I paid for it.
Sorry guys, I’ve been working major hours lately. Factory keyless was not available in 93, but that doesn’t mean aftermarket wasn’t installed. Kaised, Check under the dash for the setup in the picture, also many Broncos had an aftermarket system, made by Avitial or one of it’s sister companies, this will be painfully obvious because their will be a red light in the dash.
