HVAC actuator replacement needed or something else?
1999 Ford F-250 w/ 7.3 Powerstroke. Turned on the A/C the other day and it was blowing hot!! So I read a little on here and popped the glove box down to take a look. Messed with the rod on the actuator, pulled it up and down a couple times. Air started blowing cold again. I thought maybe I freed something up and I was good to go. Ya not so much. Go to run the A/C yesterday and we are back to hot again. Is there a possibliloty I am losing Baum or something or is it just the actuator getting old in the tooth and time for a replacement.
Suggestions???

That actuator has nothing to do with temperature control. You need to be looking at the temperature blend door actuator on top of the plenum. Mine went intermittent on me about five years ago. I bought Dorman replacement but ended up repairing the one that was in there as it just had a cracked solder joint on one of the connector pins.

Thank you for the info. Is the Plenum behind the glove box? When I think of Plenum on my truck it’s under the hood attached to the cylinder head 
. I am guessing part of the HVAC stuff behind the glove box.
